Thank you to all who gave so generously to the Macmillan Coffee Morning charity – our final figure raised was a £560! an amazing amount, far exceeding last year.
We are continuing with UCM meetings at present, via Zoom, and hope you will join us. All you have to do is download the app Zoom.us then click on the link (for details, please contact Gill Tomei) and “connect with audio” – at the proposed time of the meeting.
November 4th, we had an “Evening of Recollection” with guest speaker, Sister Sheila Maloney. It was very uplifting, talking about The Pope’s Encyclical, Fratelli Tutti.
December 2nd, will be our UCM Christmas Party at 7:30pm via Zoom – wear your Christmas jumpers!
We are currently raising funds for CRISIS at Christmas, donating towards some handicrafts (masks, Christmas cushions, baubles, general items and wallflowers) or just making a donation; so far we have raised over £400. If you look on the CRISIS website, you will find details of how to donate there. Gill Tomei is currently keeping a total of what we pay in so we can inform CRISIS of St. Columba UCM’s efforts. You can donate direct to Gill and she will pass on the donations.
